Matt and Frank Ready for Championship Run in 2020

CG Motorsports – Glenpool, OK (February 25, 2020) Matt Covington and team are ready to hit the road after a quiet off-season. The A-Rock Materials team will once again chase the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this year. The series debut is scheduled for this coming Friday and Saturday at Canyon Speedway in Peoria, AZ.

Loose Change was added to their list of sponsors this year and is very much appreciated by the team. The relationship with CG Martin Company and D&W Towing continues into the 2020 season, as well as many other valued product sponsors. The cars are once again powered by Shark Racing Engines under a Triple X Race Co chassis.

“I am really grateful of all my sponsors who are back on board for this season,” Matt commented. “I couldn’t do it without them. It’s tough being out on the ASCS National Tour and our team relies on these great relationships to get us through the year.”

Covington finished fourth with the tour in 2019 and has set his sights on the championship for 2020. “Our goal is to win the championship this year,” said Matt. “We’ve improved a lot these last couple of years and I think we can get the job done this season.”

Mike Davenport remains as Matt’s righthand man going into the new season. Matt remarked, “Mike is a really good asset and worker, I’m glad he’s decided to stick with us. We get along really well and that makes a big difference when you’re stuck in the toter with each other for months at a time.”

Matt and the team are really excited to get back out on the road and get the season underway. He looks forward to return to Canyon Speedway after eight years and to put some new California tracks under his belt.

Matt and his CG Motorsports team would like to thank all partners who will make this 2020 season possible. We look forward to the continued relationship throughout the end of the year, along with future seasons to come: Triple X Chassis, A-Rock Materials, All-Star Performance, Outlaw Wings, Winters Performance, Smiley’s Racing Products, Hoosier Tire, Keizer Wheels, Lucas Oil Racing Products, Factor 1 Racing, Wilwood Brakes, Smith Titanium, Best Graphics, Simpson Race Products, Shark Racing Engines, Huggins Cams, Eaton Industrial, Hot Rod Powder Coating, Rod End Supply, Maxwell Oil, Schoenfeld Headers, CSI Shocks, KSE Steering, Edison Auto Body, Brodix Cylinder Heads, Swindell Bleeders, and T&L Foundry.
