Pair of Top-10s for Covington in Kansas
Matt Covington Racing Glenpool, OK (June 4th, 2025) Matt Covington came away with a pair of top-10 finishes last weekend as the ASCS National Tour resumed action following a few open weekends in the schedule. Covington finished 7th at Salt City Raceway and 6th at Dodge City Raceway Park in Kansas.
“The results on paper weren’t exactly what we wanted, but honestly, we weren’t far off. It was one of those weekends you don’t stress too much about,” stated Covington. “We had speed both nights, qualified well, with an overall quick time, ran strong in the heats, but the dash is where we fell behind. We’ve got a package and combo I’m still trying to fine-tune, and both features I was just a little too tight to make a serious charge. But we’re definitely close, I think just a couple of small tweaks and we’ll be right there. We’ll keep plugging away and working hard. Steven’s got the car ready, and hopefully, we can beat the rain and make it to 67 this weekend. I really like that track and have had some good results there.”
Covington and the ASCS National Tour are scheduled for a single-night stop this Saturday at Texarkana 67 Speedway.
