Covington Wires The Field For His 3rd Win Of 2012
Matt and the Covington Motorsports, Oilfield and Equipment, Triple X, Wesmar Powered machine utilized the pole position to lead every lap of Friday night’s Oil Medics ASCS Lone Star feature at Texarkana 67 Speedway.
Matt finished 2nd in the heat after leading early and limping to the finish with a flat left front tire. This would help him gain enough points to qualify for the re-draw and land him with the pole position starting spot for the main.
Matt would lead from the drop of the green till the checkered with action slowing only four times during the course of the feature event, the defending Lone Star Champion crossed the stripe ahead of Martin Edwards, Aaron Reutzel, Blake Hahn, and Ray Allen Kulhanek.
Kolt Walker finished sixth from tenth with Evan Pardo seventh while Justin Melton, Kevin Ramey, and Brian Bell rounded out the top ten.

Matt and the team look to carry the momentium into round 3 of the Red River Rumble this weekend at Cowtown with the ASCS Lone star vs. Sooner Series and see if he can pick up another solid run and extend his points lead.
